GG Stefan was in charge of the Stobi Liturgy on the occasion of 1,700 years since the first Ecumenical Council
At the archaeological site of Stobi today, on the day against the week the Orthodox world dedicates to the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia. Stefan, in co-operation with Metropolitan Prespa-Pelagonia Peter, Povardarie Agathangel, Tetovo-Gostivar Joseph and Kumanovo-Osogovo Gregory celebrated Hierarch’s Divine Liturgy.
– This year marks the 1,700 years since the first Ecumenical Council, held in Nicaea, in 325, which was attended by three Macedonian bishops: Alexander, Bishop of Thessaloniki, Budius, Bishop of Stobi and Daky, Bishop of Scupi. On this occasion, today, 31.5.2025, the day against the week the all -Orthodox world dedicates to the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, the Stobi Archaeological Site celebrated the Divine Liturgy with which His Beatitude, Archbishop of Ohrid. Stefan, in co-operation with Metropolitans: Prespa-Pelagonia Peter, Povardarie Agathangel, Tetovo-Gostivar Joseph and Kumanovo-Osogovo Gregory-MOC-OA said.
The liturgy was attended by believers from all over the country, including Minister of Culture Zoran Sutkov, Director of the Committee on Relations with Religious Communities and Religious Groups Olivera Trajkovska, former President Gjorge Ivanov and representatives of the local self -government.
