In addition, there are restrictions on working hours in both weekdays and weekends. The job opportunities often include newspaper routes, bid services or easier tasks in libraries, such as book setup.

Slightly more job opportunities as a 14-year-old

When you turn 14, you get access to a little more job opportunities.

But the same restrictions apply when it comes to working in places where alcohol is served – nor as a wardrobe assistant.

It is also not allowed to work as a service employee in the store, as one must not sit at the box.

In addition to newspaper routes, 14-year-olds can work in supermarkets or in stocks with tasks such as price labeling, packing and sorting goods-as long as the lifts do not exceed 12 kilos and have been properly instructed by an adult over 18 years.
