The leader of the Democratic Party’s election campaign, US strategist Chris Lacivita, during a meeting with Albanians in Brescia, Italy, emphasized the crucial role that the Albanian diaspora may play in the May 11 elections.
During his speech, Lacivita stated that Albania is facing a deep crisis, which, according to him, is the result of the 12-year leadership of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Socialist Government.
« Albania is facing a true crisis, has lost the best and wisest for the opportunity it does not offer. It offers it because for the last 12 years Edi Rama and the Socialists have made it impossible, » Lacivita said.
He called for massive participation in the elections, singling out the role of Albanians living abroad and the reason why Sali Berisha should vote.
« Albanians living abroad have the opportunity to change the country’s direction. Every vote has its importance, but especially those living abroad.
