Germany. A seven -year -old child died at the construction site hit by an excavator

The drama took place on Saturday, March 29 at approx. 14.30. The tragedy took place on a private property in Kamenz, where construction lasted. It is a place after an unused railway line. It is not known how the boy was within the excavator’s range of work. And how the accident occurred. German media reports that the child was probably wounded by a construction vehicle. There were several in the square. The injuries were so serious that a seven -year -old died on the spot.

According to « Bild », the Saxon police do not want to comment on the circumstances of the accident. The investigation was taken over by road accidents and the criminal investigation department. The place of the accident is located on the former Kamenz – Bischofswerda railway line. The line was closed in 1997, and the tracks were dismantled in 2004. The website describes what the place looks like where the drama took place. These are overgrown wastelands that have been cleaned of trees and shrubs. On the ground you can still see wood cuttings resulting from felling. « Bild » emphasizes that it is not clear why construction works were underway in this area.
