German Foreign Minister: The West should prevent Putin from wage war

German Foreign Minister Johann Vadeful called on a decisive response to a new wave of Russian attacks against Ukraine. In his opinion, Putin should feel the true price of war.

He stressed that Putin is not interested in peace, and continues the war despite all diplomatic efforts, including the attempts of US President Donald Trump to plant the Kremlin leader at the negotiating table.

« And here’s a reaction. It is apparent that Putin does not want peace. He wants to continue to wage war, and we should not allow him to allow him, » Vadeful said.

The German official also reported that work is underway to impose new sanctions against Russia.

« There will be a strong reaction from the event and I think, as well as the United States of America, » the head of the German Foreign Ministry assured.

He hopes that the consequences of these measures will make Putin sit down at the negotiation table to avoid what he called potentially serious consequences for the Russian economy and the energy sector.
