German darts duo starts with victory in team World Cup
Germany started with a success in the Team World Cup of Darts professionals. In front of almost 1,300 enthusiastically celebrating spectators in the converted Frankfurt ice rink, Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko won 4: 2 against José Oliveira de Sousa and Bruno Nascimento from Portugal. The two winners won the maximum number of 180 points twice.
Schindler will start with Pietreczko for the first time this year after he overtook the long -standing German number one in Gabriel Clemens in the world rankings. On Friday (12 p.m. and 7 p.m.), the twelve groups of three make the decision to move into the round of 16, the German duo will meet Singapore in the evening.
Then the top favorites for last year’s winner of England. The English start with world champion Luke Littler and like the other top nations of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each have a free-wing in the group phase. You only get in in the round of 16 on Saturday, the winning team receives £ 80,000.
