Georgescu received good news from judges


Sector 1 Court decided on Monday to reduce the term of extension of judicial control in case Calin Georgescufrom 60 to 45 days. The court also decided to remove his obligation not to own, use or carry weapons and to periodically communicate relevant information about his means of existence.

« Admits in part the complaint made by the defendant Călin Georgescu (…) He owns, use or carry the obligation to periodically communicate relevant information about his means of existence.

The District Court 1 was pronounced in connection with a complaint filed by Călin Georgescu regarding the extension of the measure of judicial control.

The trial took place last week, with Georgescu present in the courtroom, but the judge who deals with this case then decided to postpone the pronouncement after the first round of the presidential elections is concluded.

On April 24, Călin Georgescu was called to the General Prosecutor’s Office to inform the extension by another 30 days of the measure of judicial control.

Georgescu is prosecuted for committing six offenses, the most serious being that of notifying actions against the constitutional order, in tempted form, being accused of having set up a plan for destabilization of Romania with the help of mercenaries led by Horațiu Potra, after the Constitutional Court annulled the results of the first round 2024.
