George Simion: « Unite we are the Mega Movement »
On Friday, April 25, in Thessaloniki took place in Greece, the third edition of Make Europe Again (Mega), an event that brought together leaders in Europe and the rest of the world, all united under the same purpose: defending national sovereignty, preserving Christian values and promoting a strong continent, informs gold. During this event, George Simion, the leader of Gold, Vice -President of the ECR, stressed the importance of unity in the face of global challenges and attacks on national democracy and identity.
« Thank you to everyone! As you know, we have an ongoing coup in Romania. I said this last week in Washington, and our political opponents said that I attacked Romania and that I offended the Romanian people. In my opinion, I told the truth and nothing but the truth. From this point of view, I will not annul the elections in a country. The democracy that takes place in Romania, about the possibility that the presidential elections may be canceled again, ”said George Simion.
In the continuation of his speech, George Simion He appealed to the unit, stressing that the Mega movement is a natural response against globalism and bureaucracy. The President of Gold emphasized the importance of Christian values and the defense of national identity in the face of external pressures and has discussed the risks to which democracy is exposed to Romania and other European states, such as Poland and Portugal:
« We are united we are the movement of Mega. We are strong and we are the first movement, the first populist movement, as it would be said, from the European Parliament. We have a duty to defend our Christian inheritance and defend the truth.
We think that in May and, in fact, the same day, we will have elections in three important EU countries. On May 18, we will have presidential elections in Romania, Poland and early parliamentary elections in Portugal. Therefore, we would like to wish you much success and God to help you, brothers from Poland and Portugal.
It is very important to mention that the same experiment that took place in December in Romania will still be in progress, because yesterday, a judge from an important court in Romania decided to annul the decision of the Constitutional Court of elections, and today, lowering the world record of all courts, of all the courts of justice, and they have not been presented.
This can happen to Poland. This can happen to Portugal. This has already happened in France, without giving Marine Lepen the right to attack the « exemplary » verdict of not being able to run for presidential elections, and the reason is that he was the first in opinion polls and that the French people did not want Mr. Macron, the current globalist president of France.
So, I wonder and ask you: why mix Mr. Macron in the Romanian elections, in the Poland elections, when he does not have the support of his own people?
This exceeds any notion of law that we have spoken to us, Romanians, Hungarians and Poles in recent years by the European Union. People like Verhofstadt or Timmermans came to us to talk to us about the rule of law. But what rule of law can it be when the elections are canceled and not even the European Commission mentions the attack on the democracy that took place in Romania?
