« Geometry of the Gaps » Ana Knezevic enchanted more than 1,000 visitors at the White Night in Paris – Culture

Cutoskinja exhibitions « Geometry of the Geometry » is Una Popović, while Nenad Milosavljević from Kic Paris and Jules Burki, external associate were in charge of technical realization.

White night (Nuit Blanche) is one of the leading art events organized by Paris, who offers a rich program every year, which includes various forms of modern art and attracts thousands of visitors.

The complex media installation of Ana Knežević, based on light, sound and spatial geometry, attracted exceptional attention to the audience of all generations.

According to the project manager from the Cultural Center of Serbia in Paris, Diane Koprivica, evening was « extremely successful, with more than 1,000 visitors, which is an unprecedented number for white nights in the center history. »

The installations made up of the exhibition were already presented in the Salon of Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade 2024. years, where the huge interest of the audience, becoming the most visited exhibition of that year, and entering among the five finalists for the prestigious policy prize.

It is a work that does not communicate narrative, but sensory and frequency, who experienced visitors in the state of spatial silence and energy balance.

During the opening of the opening in Paris, Knežević presented three VR installations « Orbital Resonance » (2024) together with « Magnetic Flower » (2023) and « Sonic Geometry » (2021).

In the basement of the Cultural Center in Paris, Knezevic realized a spatially light installation called « Faraway, SO Close ». Installation and VR were interactive with the audience, so the exhibition is an event at the level of involvement through the city of Paris, as well as in the gallery space.

All works problematize issues of visible and invisible in art as well as experience inside, and are extremely communicable and open to the interaction of visitors and for an individual experience.

According to Castoska Una Popović, this setting is the result of many years of research by Ana Knežević and its experiments with sound and light in various spaces.

In the lower part of the Cultural Center, the audience has the opportunity to experience the installation that acts on the senses by the language, creating a state of frequency zero – balance between visible and invisible.

Nenad Milosavljevic, the technical realizer of the exhibition, pointed out, « We are satisfied that we have been able to set the demanding installation precisely and functionally in paris. We invite all in Paris to until 25. July visit the exhibition and experience » Gap Geometry ‘. « 

The exhibition is open until 25. July, and the reactions of the audience, including a large number of artists and professionals, show that « gaps » is a full goal for the manifestation of white night, but also an important contribution to presentation of modern Serbian art abroad.
