General Ogloblin admitted to receiving money for state defense order

In the 235th garrison military court of Moscow, the process began in the criminal case of the former chief of the 1st Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Alexander Ogloblin, accused of receiving bribes for 12 million rubles. During the meeting, the prosecutor announced the charge. The defendant recognized the fact of receiving money, but did not agree with the qualification of his actions.

The meeting in the case of Alexander Ogloblin began with a half-hour delay due to the employment of the judge in the previous process. When the accused was brought into the hall where two defenders were waiting for him, they were not allowed to go to the audience, explaining this by the fact that the meetings will be held closed. An hour later, the lawyers left the hall, saying that the prosecution was announced, after which their client answered the judge’s question about the recognition or non -recognition of guilt.

Lawyers confirmed that Alexander Ogloblin accused in receiving a bribe on an especially large scale in the execution of the state defense order (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code). The investigation believes that in 2016–2021, Major General Ogloblin received a bribe totaling 12 million rubles from representatives of the Perm telephone factory of TETTA. This money was intended for Major General not for specific services, but « for general protection in the execution of a contract for the supply of military communications in the amount of more than 1.2 billion rubles. »

Lawyer Maxim Dovgan told Kommersant that his client Ogloblin recognizes the fact of receiving money, but did not agree with the qualifications of his actions. He did not explain the position of the client, noting that he promised to do this himself during the court hearings.

Thus, it remains incomprehensible what the defendant admitted – fraud on his part or mediation in the transfer of a bribe.

“I am not authorized to explain the position of Alexander Vladimirovich (Ogloblin. « Kommersant ») instead of him, ”the defender summed up.

At the same time, the lawyer believes that disagreement with the qualification led to the fact that Alexander Ogloblin was refused to consider the case in a special manner-now the ex-head of the 1st Directorate of the Main Directorate of Communications (HUS) risks getting from 8 to 15 years in prison and a multimillion-dollar fine.

The alleged accomplice of Alexander Ogloblin is the former deputy chief of the General Staff-the head of the Gus Lieutenant General Vadim Shamarin, arrested In May last year, he entered into a pre -trial agreement on cooperation with the prosecutor’s office, so he is judged in a special order. He is charged with receipt from 2019 to 2023 bribes for 36 million rubles. From the representatives of the « TKA ». But unlike Mr. Ogloblin, Vadim Shamarin can count on a softer sentence.

As already reported by Kommersantthis is a criminal case – the second for Alexander Ogloblin. In February 2022, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code)-the overestimation of prices during the purchase of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which due to which the department was damaged in the amount of about 1.5 billion rubles.

However, then the case was considered in a special order, since Alexander Ogloblin He testified At the predecessor of Vadim Shamarin-Colonel General Khalil Arslanov, who, in addition to thefts, is also charged with a bribe-the case of a military leader and his accomplices is considered in the 235th DOS.

Subsequently, the defense of Alexander Ogloblin, who was not only imprisoned, but also deprived the general rank, was able to achieve in the Grandmother’s District Court of Moscow to replace the insane part of the punishment with correctional labor with a deduction of 25% of earnings in favor of the state. However, the prosecutor’s office protested this decision in the Moscow City Court, indicating that Mr. Ogloblin, in addition to gratitude, had a violation that was serving time in the pre -trial detention center.

In particular, he was punished for unauthorized movements along the investigative insulator and storage of the modem for connecting to the Internet. As a result, the Moscow City Court in September 2023 canceled the decision of the district court. In the framework of the new criminal case, the defendant He was arrested againso the change in the previously assigned punishment has lost its meaning.
