Gender reveal happened in the worst way ever

‘Gender Reveal’ as it is so popularly called is a violent trend among future parents holding a party to reveal the child’s gender.

Jess Gildenhuy’s and her husband Josh got a surprise when their planned gender relief took a turn no one had seen coming.

Because while they were looking forward to celebrating the news with friends and family, the secret was accidentally revealed in the midst of a very ordinary shopping trade.

The 33-year-old mother from Norfolk had just been to his 20-week scan and handed over the sealed envelope with the child’s gender to the staff of Card Factory.

The plan was for them to help hide the information so that the confetti cannons could be used to surprise both the couple themselves and their loved ones.

« They said they could remove the labels so we couldn’t see anything, » Jess says.

But as they stood in the box and got ready to pay, the words ‘coastal blue’ flashed out on the screen. The color that revealed that the couple was expecting a boy was also written on the receipt.

Thus, the moment was destroyed long before they managed to inflate balloons or pick up the family.

« It’s the worst way ever to find out the gender of your child, you couldn’t even write it, » said the frustrated from Jess, who, however, chose to keep the mask in the store and wait to respond. Today she sees the episode as a disappointment – but also as a funny story in the long run.

The couple chose to complete the party anyway, and although the surprise of them did not appear, it still became a celebration.

Card Factory has since sent an apology to the family, and Jess, who is waiting for her third child, acknowledges that she is looking forward to it after all.
