Gendarmerie in discouragement missions in the capital
The gendarmerie crews carry out preventive missions to protect the constitutional order, institutions, citizens and public and private goods, the press office of the Gendarmerie of the Capital states.
'The presence of the herds also aims to protect all persons and to ensure the freedom of safe exercise of rights and duties for both institutions and citizens. The structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs do not carry out missions against citizens who do not commit crimes or contraventions, but are on the street for the protection of citizens', informs the General Directorate of Gendarmes of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGJMB).
In the context of the incidents produced at the event in Bucharest, last night, the gendarmerie appeals to citizens to collaborate with the MIA employees, not to follow the instigations of any kind and to delimit the people who commit violence.
'We draw attention to the fact that a person on whose behalf is issued a default arrest warrant and is internationally sought for attempted actions against the constitutional order instigates the citizens to commit violent incidents and actions against the Constitution. We ask the citizens not to distribute the messages transmitted by this person, outside the country, because by distributing his calls to violence, they involuntarily contribute to the fulfillment of his objectives, those to produce panic, social anxiety and to divide the Romanian citizens', the source said.
Dozens of people gathered on Monday night at the headquarters of the Constitutional Court, who will judge, on Tuesday, the appeal filed by Călin Georgescu at the Debt of invalidating the candidacy for the presidential elections.
