Geerts from first place in Spain, Pancar captured a point

Belgian Berry geerts received the qualifications of the World Motocross Championship race in the MXGP class in Spanish Lug. In the absence of the best Slovenian racer Tima Gajserwho will be missing for a long time due to shoulder surgery, is the only Slovenian representative in the elite class Jan Pancar got a point for tenth place.

This week, Gajser fans learned bad news; The multiple world champion decided to have surgery after two falls and problems with a discharge shoulder, which means that he had practically already dropped out of the fight for the title. For the time being, he has not yet revealed the return plan, but it is already clear that he will probably be missing for months or most of the season. The race in Spain is eighth in the SP calendar.

This year’s qualifications were best done by Geerts. The second was the Frenchman Romain Febvrewho took the lead in the World Cup a week ago, there was no Geyser in the previous race. The compatriot was behind him Maxime Renaux and the Belgian Lucas Coenenwinner of the last race in Portugal.

Pancar came among the top ten for the third time in the season to get points for the qualifying part of the race. He stayed 14 in the World Cup, now he has 110 points. Febvre leads with 339, Gajser is the second with 305, but Coenen has already approached a lot (294).

The first race for the GP of Spain in the MXGP class will be on Sunday at 2.15pm and the second will start at 5.10pm.
