Gaza War: Israel on Guterres: « What a shame »

The argument between the United Nations and Israel about dealing with Islamist Hamas is pussy. The spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oren Marblestein, described a statement by UN Secretary -General António Guterres on the platform X and asked whether it was really important to help people in Gaza – or whether they were more likely to concentrate on supporting Hamas and their war machinery.

Previously, UN General Secretary António Guterres had asked for an immediate and independent examination of incidents in which after Hamas presentation people are said to have been killed by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip at distribution centers.

On Sunday, the Hamas media office announced that a total of 30 people had been killed in Israeli attacks. The Israeli army denied the information from the terrorist organization. A preliminary investigation showed that the military did not shot civilians, while they were near or within the distribution center for humanitarian aid. All of the information cannot currently be checked independently.

Guterres wrote on X that he was horrified by the reports of the Palestinians, after which people were killed or injured in search of help on Sunday. « It is unacceptable that Palestinians have to risk their lives for food. » According to humanitarian international law, Israel had the clear obligation to allow and facilitate humanitarian aid.

Marmorstein replied to Guterres with the words: « What a shame. » The word Hamas does not even appear in the entire communication of the UN Secretary General. « Not a word that it is Hamas who shoots civilians and tries to prevent them from maintaining relief goods. » Gutrees do not mention that Hamas had rejected another ceasefire proposal and the release of the hostages. « The actual investigation that needs to be carried out is why the and continue to oppose every attempt to help people in Gaza directly. »

Israel enables the Gaza Humanitrian Foundation (GHF) Foundation to distribute aid goods in the Gaza Strip in order to avoid aid organizations of the UN and other initiatives. The UN criticized this and accused Israel of using humanitarian aid as a weapon. After almost three months of blockade, Israel had again allowed aid deliveries to the hungry population to a limited extent.
