Gathered 11 million in two days
Over ISK 11 million has accumulated for improvements to the Reykjadalur Swimming Pool, where the Paralympic and Disabled Sponsorship Society has operated a summer camp for disabled children and young people for 62 years.
This is stated in a statement from the Paralympic and Disabled Paralympic Association.

Says there that Reykjadalur swimming pool has always been the heart of the business and that guests even go to the pool several times a day.
However, it has had significant maintenance needs and therefore began the collection campaign the day before the first summer day to ensure continued safety and enjoyment of guests.
The goal of the sponsorship was to raise ISK 10 million to make the necessary repairs.
The announcement states, however, that the response was incredible and that 11 million krónur has accumulated in just two days.

« But we don’t stop there! The dream is to raise 20 million kroner, which would enable us to update all the swimming pool equipment and ensure that it will be even better and safer for all guests.
