Gates open to the Chamber of Deputies
The Chamber of Deputies opens its gates on Sunday, June 1, on the occasion of the Children’s Day.
The institution can be visited, between 10:00 and 17:00, in free regime, children and their companions, access being allowed at the entrance from the « United Nations » Boulevard, according to a statement of the Chamber of Deputies transmitted on Wednesday.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see more rooms in which the parliamentary activity is carried out: « Iic Brătianu », « Take Ionescu », « Unirii », « Mihai Viteazul », as well as the plenary room, the office of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, the Honor Gallery and the Press Gallery, the Exhibition Hall « Constantin Brâncuși ».
Children will be able to participate in fun and educational activities: theater and magic shows offered by the theater ‘Ambassadori’ and the comic work for children, meetings with fantastic characters loved by the little ones, legs on foot, face painting and origami courses organized by UNICEF and World Vision.
The little ones also have inflatable slides, they will see experiments supported by the students of the Faculty of Chemistry at the National University of Science and Technology Polytechnic Bucharest, they can participate in prize games, being prepared a photo booth, as well as in activities organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency.
It will also be a concert held by the military band – the 30th Guard Brigade « Mihai Viteazul ».
A stand will be organized for the small microbes, where they will be able to compete and enjoy the surprise presence of celebrities from the world of sport, the exposure of the 1986 European Champions Cup and other promotional materials. There will also be spaces arranged by federations and sports clubs for handball, judo, martial arts, chess, fencing, archery, rugby, table tennis and also a car presentation.
Two helicopters will be exhibited in the court of Parliament, as well as drones, flight simulators and VR headphones. The children will be able to move through the « City of Road Traffic », arranged by the « Education for Democracy » Association, with the support of Vesta Investment, and will be able to participate in a workshop organized by the ADFABER Association on the online environment for children.
The little ones and their companions will also enjoy the sweet preparations and surprises in the Food Court area arranged by Creart, in the space from Izvor Park.
The first edition of the event « Open Gates for Children » took place in 2007.
