Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi said today that the majority remains stable and that the government and the parliamentary majority will work with full capacity. In terms of when the new Minister of Health is elected, Gashi noted that it is the prime minister to propose that the proposal to be put on the agenda, and will then be submitted to all MPs in Parliament.

– The majority is put. There is no doubt about whether we have a majority, it is about switching to one of the political parties in the opposition, but you see that several lawmakers remain part of the « WLL ». I think the government and the parliamentary majority will work with full capacity, « Gashi said, answering a journalist question, before the start of the Balkan Alumni Summit » Security Regional Prosperity Through Nextgen Leadership « .

Asked when the new Minister of Health will be elected, Gashi replied that the prime minister should first nominate the new minister, that the proposal be put on the agenda, and then submitted to all MPs in Parliament.

– As you know, both by law and in Rules of Procedure, the proposal comes from the Government. The Prime Minister should nominate a new minister. When the proposal comes on the agenda, that proposal will be submitted to all MPs immediately in the Parliament and put it at the next session – Gashi said.

The first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Medziti said last night before the Central Presidency session said that Azir Aliu would be their proposal for a new health minister after Arben Taravari’s resignation and his decision to go to the opposition, and that Arben Fetai would be involved in the party.
