Gashi – Klakocar Zupanchic: Slovenia remains strong Macedonian supporter on its European integration road
Slovenia remains a strong supporter of Macedonia on its European integration path, said the President of the State Speech of the Republic of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupanchic at today’s joint press conference after meeting with Macedonian Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi.
Klakocar Zupanchic stressed that at the meeting with President Gashi they confirmed the excellent relations between our states that they marked before friendship and mutual solidarity.
-States are very close partners, and co -operation based on common values and joint partnerships. Slovenia was and remains a strong supporter of Northern Macedonia on its Euro -Atlantic path and encourages initiatives to achieve an appropriate economic area, one appropriate righteous legislative framework, as these are two key elements of our cooperation. I am convinced that this will now be highlighted at our meetings as part of the program on this visit. I believe we will find additional opportunities to deepen cooperation between states – said Klakochar Zupanchic.
The President of the State Word of the Republic of Slovenia emphasized that it is a proponent of the growing importance of parliamentary democracy and is convinced that regular meetings between parliaments encourage and develop relations.
Gashi expressed gratitude to Slovenia, which, he said, is an unwavering supporter of our aspirations for EU integration.
-The political contribution (such as the 2023 « Brdo-Brioni and Non-Piper » process), as well as Slovenia’s technical support in strengthening the administrative capacity to harmonize our legislation with the EU, confirmed the successful cooperation between our institutions and the sincere readiness of the EU to expand to the EU. To our inter -parliamentary ties and deepening diplomatic relations between our two countries.
Gashi also emphasized that the meeting confirmed the bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Slovenia, which, he said, had always been strong, characterized by sincere friendship, multidimensional cooperation, unreserved support and continuous commitment to strengthen the links between our citizens
