It’s not every day a gas station chain promises to distribute thousands of liters of gasoline for free. But that is exactly what Dutch Tinq has set out for when the chain on June 22 marks the opening of its station number 400.

And no – don’t just queue in line with jerk and down jacket. Here, posters, sign -ups and local support must be fought.

It writes the Dutch media Autovisie.

The campaign is anything but traditional. Tinq has chosen to distribute a total of 40,000 liters of gasoline to motorists – but only those who can mobilize their neighborhood.

To be considered, hang a special campaign poster at home, use the Tinq4u app and sign up digitally. The whole idea is about making it a local blast where the area with the most enrolled drivers ultimately wins the prize.

And what does the prize consist of? Not in one motorist driving from the party with a tanker – but in gasoline enough for the whole street to get a shot of octane.

The winning street is visited by a truck loaded with the 40,000 liters. The amount is equally divided between all the participants who live on the street in question – and the more there are, the smaller the proportion per. driver. But on the other hand, the likelihood of winning is much greater.

Although Danish motorists have previously experienced Shell’s short-lived 10-kroner offerings when opening new stations, it is rare that free gasoline is at all about. With Tinq’s initiative, competition in the market has become a bit more colorful – and potentially more high octane.

And for those who have set their noses after free kilometers, there is only one thing to do: Get the poster up, recruit the neighbors and cross your fingers to make it just your street, the truck rolls on June 22.
