Gas boilers, do tax discounts come back? What can change and how much the concessions are worth
Among the corrective amendments to the « Bollette Decree » the restoration of tax relief for the appliances prepared for the hybrid system appears. But the resource node remains
The tax discounts for condensing boilers deleted by the Budget Law? A package of amendments inside the conversion law of Bollette decreepresented by a part of the majority, is trying. But, as we know, the first problem is always finding the money to do it and the government, from this point of view, is not in the best situation. Waiting to know if the amendments will pass, we still try to understand what would mean reopening a space for tax breaks for boilers even when not placed within Hybrid systems.
The current state of incentives for boilers
As we know, one of the main innovations introduced by the Case Green Directive was to trace a precise Road Map: from this year stop to the incentives for the purchase and installation of gas boilers (therefore it is no longer possible to insert these expenses among those deductible in the context of the building works and energy redevelopment); while from 2040 farewell to Production and sale of boilers powered by fossil fuel.
How it might change
After in recent weeks the manufacturers of appliances have been received by the Ministry of Companies and Made in Italy, where they complained about some distortions of the law, now a part of the majority, as mentioned, tries to change course compared to what was decided by the government and aims at the readmission of discounts, at least for some products. There would be boilers already prepared by the manufacturer to work within a hybrid system and those fed with renewable fuels. The Gabola at the base of the amendments would be in the text with which the Budget Law 2025 has established the ban on tax breaks for the « unique boilers ».
The definition of « unique boilers »
According to what is also reported by Sole24orethe amendments presented by the League focus precisely on the fact that the wording « unique boilers », referring to those powered by fossil fuels, would not include the boilers powered with renewable fuels such as hydrogen or biomethane and not even the devices designed to be combined with a heat pump, which would make it hybrid. Now, all that remains is to wait and see what the fate of the amendments will be.
