Full moon in power / day
Although all the events we have had to experience at all, this is the time this is the time when we seriously want to associate a bit of strange actions and statements with the full moon culminating in yesterday.
But let’s get back to the events of recent days. The first and main set of events, of course, is related to the active discussions of politicians on the responsibility of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in the problems of the electoral process. The first and very specific fact – taking political responsibility, was submitted by the Minister of Smart Administration and Regional Development Inga Berzina (JV) yesterday in the morning. A respectable action that had not actually been experienced in Latvian politics for a long time. Alongside Berzina’s resignation, the question was all day long – what decision will be made by the head of the CVK Kristine Saulīte, who in the morning at the Saeima Commission meeting said she was planning to resign, but after the commission, she took a pause in a pause (because she had not yet written a real resignation on paper). However, when you read this comment, the sun will announce the decision and left the CVK leadership. And so the Saeima will also have a job in today’s plenary session to decide on the planned call for ZZS deputies to withdraw Saulītis. The question remains, however, what fate will find the third rather closely with the election process associated with the organization of the electoral process – Berzins on Monday, Joren Liop, Director of the State Digital Development Agency, who both TV3’s news and Nothing personal The election special edition on Sunday stated that he would be premature to take responsibility for the technical problems of the Election Night. Perhaps when everything is silent, he will return to office calmly.
However, whatever and as responsibilities and resignations, it is important to ensure that what is happened on the election night does not remain behind pathetic slogans, loud statements on « stealing elections » and similar political performances. It is important to identify mistakes, understand and make the necessary improvements so that more such « full moon » moments do not experience. Unfortunately, it seems that everyone has been more excited about the race, which will be louder and witty to express and comment on rather than doing work. Unfortunately, it is a common but eradicated practice in Latvian politics.
