FSB, on the footsteps of the « Sonic Weapon » in Serbia
Experts of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) arrived in Serbia to investigate with the alleged use of a sonic weapon against protesters in Belgrade earlier this month, said the Serbian president on Saturday, rejecting these charges as ‘lies’, AFP reports.
Between 100,000 and 300,000 people participated on March 15 in the anti -corruption demonstration organized by students in Belgrade, the most important since the roof of a station last year, which made 16 dead and triggered a protest movement.
The manifestation, largely peaceful, was interrupted after an unknown noise caused a short panic in some neighborhoods.
Images broadcast on social media showed groups of people who suddenly spread for unknown reasonswhich gave birth to assumptions that they were targeted by a sonic weapon or ‘acoustic tuna’, a military device used to disperse the crowd.

Police, president and Serbian government denied the use of such a device.
On Saturday night, ‘FSB members arrived in Belgrade. They started working on Sunday morning. Will stay seven or eight days. Then they will present their opinions about the sonic weapon, « said Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic.
The attention was focused on some photos, published a few days after the rally, which shows a police vehicle with a strange device on the hood.
Aleksander Radic, a Belgrade military analyst, told AFP that the photo equipment resembles the LRAD 450 long -range acoustic device, manufactured in the US.
Interior Minister Ivica Dacic confirmed that the police have such equipment, but denied that it was used to target the protesters.
The Serbian authorities announced the opening of an investigation and requested the cooperation of the Russian FSB.
