From Monday (04/28) to Friday in Ida-Virumaa, road traffic may be difficult in connection with the beginning of large military exercises “Kilp” (“Shield”). On April 30, the Narv border checkpoint will be temporarily closed, writes Rus.delfi.

In the Ida-Viru district, on the roads in the area of ​​Narva-Yesuu, Narva and Vasknarva, large-scale Kilp exercises begin. Within the framework of exercises on various roads, the speed of vehicles will be limited to 30 km/h, short -term suspension of vehicle movement is also possible.

The movement will be difficult until Friday evening, May 2. Drivers are asked to plan their trips with a margin in time and, if possible, choose an alternative route.

In connection with the exercises, the police and border guard department temporarily – from April 30 to May 2 – closes the Narv border checkpoint, since some of the exercises are planned to be held at the border room. During this period, it will be possible to cross the border at the border posts of Koydul and Luhamaa, which are open around the clock, and where the border can be crossed, including by car. The Narva KPP will renew work in the usual order on May 3.

KILP exercises are held from April 28 to May 2 jointly Idasky Prefecture and Kaiteselite. During the exercises, actions in the conditions of migration pressure and the decision of the crisis in the field of state defense will be worked out.
