Mora is part of the Geloven Group that in turn is in the hands of fries producer McCain, which is also the owner of Lutosa. The company is now negotiating a dismissal scheme with the trade unions. In 2018, the Frietsnack producer already canceled 97 of the total of 187 jobs.

That Mora itself is still profitable, and now a closure is followed, would have to do with the aging of the factory, so that the capacity cannot be fully utilized.

Annual accounts

The annual accounts of 30 June 2024 show a turnover of 61.7 million and had a business profit of 6.3 million. A year earlier, that business profit was 7.46 million, with a turnover of 59.5 million. The net profit in 2024 was 3.7 million, with a dividend of 7 million.

In November last year, the directors said they had no knowledge of circumstances that can significantly influence the development of the company.
