The French deputies voted to allow some people in the sloping phases of terminal diseases to allow for dying (medically assisted death).

The French parliament adopted a bill, which supported President Emanuel Macron, for 305 votes for and 199 against.

The proposal is now forwarded to the Senate before the second time comes before the National Assembly.

Proponents hope that the law will be adopted by 2027.

In that case, France would become Eighth State in the European Union that allows some form of medically assisted deaths.

According to the current proposal, the French law will have more restrictions compared to the laws of the Netherlands or neighboring Belgium, which the first in Europe legalized assistance in dying.

The proposal of the second Law, which refers to palliative care, has been adopted by the voices of all deputies.

It is estimated that 48 percent of patients in France, which need palliative care, do not get this type of medical assistance.

The adoption of both proposals « is an important step, » he wrote a macroon on social networks on Tuesday.

« Respecting the sensitivity, doubts and hopes, the path of the fraternity, which I hoped, gradually opens, » he wrote online IX.

A large part of the two-week debate in the French Assembly was dedicated to the conditions under which patients can be allowed to help die.

On the proposal, this right will have « people who suffer from serious and incurable diseases », which « endangers life in both the advanced or terminal phase ».

It is also predicted that patients who are constantly « physically and mentally suffer » and who are able to « freely express their own will ».

When they get approval, they would inject the deadly dose themselves, or would make it medical workers, if they are not able.

The approval would give a doctor, but only after consultation with colleagues.

The deputies were allowed to vote on their own choice, because there are different views on the following parties on the members of the same parties.

Wider observed, the proposal supported the parties of the Center and Left, while the populists and right were against.

Critics Conservatives reiterated the dominant attitude of the Catholic Church, noting that the definition, given in the proposal, is too broad and therefore the opportunity to be allowed to help people with more years.

Opponents are afraid and that older people could be under pressure to make this choice so that they would not be a burden to the family.

Protests were held in front of the French parliament on Sunday for this proposal.

Forty-four-year-old woman, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, said this law was like there was a « filled gun on the left side of the nightflow ».

Some leftists wanted to expand access to supported dying so that the right to him have minors, people who are not French citizens and patients in Komi who previously expressed such a desire.

On this proposal, medical workers who oppose the dying assistance would not have an obligation to participate in it.

If it, however, try to prevent the delivery of assistance in dying, could be penalized with two years in prison.
