French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecortny said that in cooperation with a defense enterprise, the French carmaker will launch the production of drones in Ukraine.

He did not specify the type of drones, but noted that they would be assigned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lecorny also noted that these drones will also be available to his country’s armed forces so that they « have constant tactical and operational training that corresponds to the realities of » war in Ukraine.
According to him, Ukraine will provide feedback on the use of these drones in combat.
« There is no need to ask French citizens to work on a production line in Ukraine, » Lecortny emphasized.
He added that Ukrainians are « the best of us in the development of drones and, most importantly, in the formation of the doctrine of their use. »
