Freight ship is still stuck on the Danube

Further recovery of the cargo ship on the Danube near Regensburg for days have failed. On Monday, another ship should move to the invited iron ore with the help of an excavator, as a police spokesman said. This would make the boat with the 1,780 -ton load easier and therefore also more maneuverable.

When trying to contact, the 110 -meter -long ship on Wednesday at Schwabelweis with the bug on the right bank of the Danube. So far, the emergency services have not managed to free the freighter with so -called shear boats.

Although the cargo ship coming from Rotterdam is located across the Danube, other ships have so far been able to drive past. A spokesman for the waterway and shipping office had said on Friday for the new resusions for the new recovery attempts.
