Free mentoring program for young photographers


The Center for Development of Photography from Belgrade, in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Skopje, invites all young photographers to be part of the regional project collecting experts and festival photographs from Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. These are workshops that focus on the power of documentary and engaged photography, but also follows contemporary challenges – from ethics in the era of artificial intelligence to digital visibility and portfolio overview.
– This program includes intense mentoring work during 10 workshops with experienced lecturers and mentors. Productive task of defending theme that will help you develop coherent authorial work. Public presentation of the final multimedia exhibition in Skopje. Announcing your papers on a digital platform, which will be seen by curators, editors and wider audiences from all over the region. Mentoring support in the professional development and preparation of portfolios. The opportunity to be part of a regional network of festivals, photographers and curators. Support in ethical and creative use of artificial intelligence and photography. Certificate of Participation and Support for Further Professional Development. This program is the only opportunity to gain professional experience and develop author’s style and expression. Your work will provide visibility outside the borders of Macedonia, you will be able to contact important actors on the photographic scene in the country and the region – photographers, curator, representatives of photography and directors of photography festivals – according to the program organization.
The workshops are designed for anyone who deals with photography – students, members of photo shoots, self -taught authors who have published or published their works so far. Serious motivation and desire for professional development are more important to participate in this program than the level you are currently. The workshops are held from May 12 to 30 at the Museum of the City of Skopje. The program is led by a team of renowned experts with extensive experience with photography and education: Aleksandra Ristovska, Vladimir Jovanovski, Saso Alusevski, and guest lecturer is Zvezdan Mancic, director of the International Visualist Festival.
