Fraudsters deceived the inhabitants of Ida-Viruma with 27,000 euros, in Narva teenagers attacked a passerby
Over the past day, the Ida Prefecture recorded a series of offenses: scammers lured large amounts from residents of Kokhtla-Yarve and Yykhvi, impersoning state institution employees, in Narva teenagers sprayed gas in the face of a passerby, as well as a case of losing the phone. The police are investigating.
Fraud
A resident of Kokhtla-Yarve turned to the police, who was supposedly called an employee of the Health Department. The caller asked the woman her personal data that she provided him. After that, she received another call – this time already from the alleged police officer. This person convinced the woman to take loans in various financial institutions. The loans received were transferred to unknown bank accounts. The damage from fraud amounted to 6800 euros. The circumstances of the incident are clarified in the framework of criminal proceedings.
On May 12, scammers called in a yykhvi woman and said that her daughter was in a traffic accident, and to cover the costs of treating the victim in the accident, it is urgent to transfer money. The woman had an amount of 20,000 euros, which she gave to a young man who came to her door.
Assignment of property
The police received a message that on May 10 in Narva a minor boy lost his mobile phone iPhone 13. The damage amounted to 499 euros.
Bodily injuries
On the evening of May 12, in Narva, a passerby noticed how adolescents break the gutters. The man stopped to talk to them, after which one of the teenagers sprayed gas in his face. The man turned to the emergency room for first help. The exact circumstances of the incident are clarified within the framework of criminal proceedings.
