Francophone Month In Kaunas invites you to explore French culture
“The knowledge of other countries and cultures always gives the excitement the excitement, good emotions. It is sometimes enough to take part in the city events to experience all this. Throughout March, Kaunas residents will be able to immerse themselves in various frankophonic activities. I have no doubt that everyone will find the right, exciting and time -enriching experience, ”said Kaunas Vice Mayor Mantas Jurgutis, inviting to Francophony Days.
The March event cycle will begin on March 1. 4 p.m. In the music hall of the National Museum of Art in the National Museum of Art. The work of composers who graduated in France will be performed here. It will be presented and performed by Yusuke Ishii, PhD student at Kaunas University of Technology, musicologist Aušra Strazdaitė-Ziberkienė and students of Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium.

March 3 The international scientific conference « Culture and Politics of the Francophone World » is a tradition. It focuses on aspects of communication and censorship. The speakers will share insights into the dissemination of information and translations. Language resource and analysis tools that enrich French research and teaching will also be presented.
French footprints and historical legends will be available in free excursions « French Traces in Kaunas Old Town ». Famous for exceptional architecture, Kaunas once called Little Paris will certainly surprise.
There is a wide range of lectures in the event cycle. One of them will invite you to keep in mind Ukraine, who is fighting the freedom of your whole Europe. Military field parallels will be reborn in a lecture by Colonel-Lieutenant and Baltic Historical History Gilles Durtertre, presenting French stories through violence during World War II.

French culture will also be known during the exhibition of the collection of decorative plates of Edward Mickiewicz. Film fans will be welcome at the Romuva Cinema Center, where the presentation and screening of L'Ordre Secret will take place. Along the fountain all month, a field exhibition about Kaunomiestis-Partner Grenoble will be open in Laisvės Alley.
The month of Francophone will be crowned by the Kaunas piano trio with the concert « Once again about Love ».
