Fragile ceasefire in Libya’s capital Tripolis – Diepresse.com
The battles in the center of Tripolis started on Monday evening after the death of the militia leader Abdelghani « Gheniwa » el-Kikli had been announced.
After three -day violent fights between armed groups and government -loyal forces, in Libya’s capital Tripoli, waving their weapons on Thursday. Explosions in the capital
Loud explosions were heard in the entire capital on Wednesday. It was particularly difficult to fight in the port area and in the west and south of Tripolis. There were also battles in residential areas. At least six people were killed in the fights between the SSA and the government loyal troops.
The government in Ankara prepared the evacuation of Turkish citizens from Tripoli on Thursday. For this is a flight of Turkish Airlines Organized between Misrata and Istanbul, the Turkish embassy in Tripolis announced in the online service Facebook. Turkey supports the government in Tripolis and had called for an immediate ceasefire.
