Fourth suspect of degrading films in healthcare institutions month longer in jail (inland)

Last week the council chamber of Oudenaarde decided that the brothers ND (18) and MD (21) remain arrested. The girlfriend of ND, the 21-year-old ZB, was released under strict conditions. The fourth suspect, a 19-year-old friend of ND, appeared before the council chamber on Friday. He decided that he will be arrested.

The Two brothers have been in jail for more than two months because of the degrading treatment of residents in different healthcare institutions. They saw their stay extended by a month two weeks ago. Their 19-year-old friend can also sit for another month.

Twenty -two victims

Two weeks ago the size of the scandal in residential care centers and hospitals in the Flemish Ardennes – which came to light two months ago – became completely clear. The brothers worked for a while in the Oudenaardse Woonzorgcentrum Meerspoort. A resident there filed a complaint with the police for the theft of a gold ring and 15 euros.

For example, the researchers arrived at the young brothers and viewed their mobile phones, on which they discovered degrading videos. Movies they sent to each other and friends via WhatsApp. In total there are 22 victims in seven healthcare institutions. (PMA)
