Four products for a long life / day
A person’s life expectancy is influenced by a variety of factors, from genes to air quality. We cannot influence some of these factors, but we can, without excessive effort. They also include changing their eating habits.
Spanish scientists have found that it is enough to introduce four foods in the menu and exclude two to significantly increase the chances of living up to the age of 100.
Healthy, diverse
The so -called Mediterranean diet has long been considered the secret of a long and healthy life, and is also confirmed by recent studies. If lean red meat, poultry, cereals, as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables are used in the diet, the risk of obesity and the risk of premature death is significantly reduced.
Madrid specialists identified four types of foods that were able to extend their lifelong expectancy. These are fruits, dairy products, nuts and unsaturated oils such as olive or sunflower.
But there are also two things that should be excluded from the menu completely. These are carbonated drinks and confectionery. The former contains too much sugar, the second is both sugar and fine wheat flour, which promotes obesity and thus increases the risk of premature death.
The most conscientious living
At the conclusion that the awareness also helps for a longer life, Spanish specialists came to an extensive study analyzing more than 11,000 people over 48 years of age.

She and her colleagues evaluated eating habits of each participant based on the consumption of 15 food groups and menu compliance with the planet’s health diet (PHD) eating plan, which was published five years ago in a medical journal The lancet. The PHD diet intends to take about 2,500 calories a day.
During the 14 -year observation period, 1157 participants died. Most of them were people who did not stay on the PhD or Mediterranean diet. Comparing all the data, scientists came to the conclusion that proper eating reduces the risk of premature death by about 22 percent.
