Four concept cars that hint on the future
Concept cars usually appear at motor fairs and are often presented to evaluate daring design, innovative technology or new characteristics, or to get the audience’s judgment in advance before any future launch. Some are more protruding than others and some closer to the production stage than others. Some also represent a more comprehensive vision of the car manufacturer. Here are some concept cars presented so far this year.
Audi Q6 E-Tron Offroad
Audi wants to take offroad a level upwards with this prototype. « A reinterpretation of quattro (four -wheel drive), » called the CEO of the German ticket, Gernot Döllner, the car after the first test ride. The prototype, which is based on an Audi Q6 e-tron, is equipped with two electric motors and is designed for higher ground clearance and to be able to take steeper uphill slopes on adventure in the terrain. According to the manufacturer, it should be seen as « a taste of a potential car in the progressive off-road segment ».
Mercedes Vision v
Mercedes new concept vehicle Vision V can be described as an electric luxury or limousine. It has a lounge-like compartment with large armchair-like seats and a 65-inch screen ready for film and video games. If you would rather do something else, there is a chessboard game designed in glass. It is thus filled with a lot to discover and do for the owner and those who simply go – but it is probably also a vehicle that you are rather run by a driver at the front than rattles yourself. KIA PV5 WKNDR
Solar panels, self-sufficiency and off-road tires to make it easier are some of the things that Kia highlights in its prototype intended for outdoor life, WKNDR. The basic model on which this is based, electric PV5, is included in a category called PBV, Platform Beyond Vehicle, and is a kind of transport cars that can be more easily adapted to different target groups and the desires of the industry. PV5 is intended for launch in some markets in 2025, with more to follow next year.
Volkswagen id.every1
One of the concept cars that has come to represent Volkswagen’s outstanding way forward, which includes electric cars with more available prices is ID.every1. This is supposed to be presented as a production -ready version in 2027 and is expected to get a starting price of around € 20,000. The entry -level model will have a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour and a range of at least 25 km.
