Found over 50 miles from his home
« It’s wonderful to get him back, » says Þröstur Jónasson, owner of cat Gómez, who was found today in Thorlákshöfn after being lost for ten days.
This morning it was reported that four households had disappeared in Kársnes in March, and it is suspected that they were kidnapped and placed elsewhere.
Already lose weight and is rhythm
When a journalist mbl.is talked to Þröst this morning, he and his wife were on his way to Thorlákshöfn after receiving a suggestion that Gomez had been seen there, about 50 kilometers from his home.
Throst describes how Gómez came running towards those couples when they walked around Thorlákshöfn and says that moment has been wonderful. However, Gómez was not too pleased with the car trip home but is now settling in the home after ten days of absence.
« He has lost weight and has been rhythmic, obviously just been out, » says Throost when asked about the cat’s condition.
« Good to know that people think carefully about the animals »
He points out that the other three cats, diamond, Matthildur and Góa, are still uninvited and that the search for them will continue with full force.
« But it is great that there are a lot of people who bother to keep their eyes open and watch. It is good to know that people think carefully about the animals, » says Throost.
