Found body that presumes to be a missing paragliding practitioner in the Algarve

A man’s body was found on Sunday at Figueira Beach, Vila do Bispo municipality. Authorities believe it is the 29 -year -old paragliding practitioner, missing since the end of last month.

« The body of a man, presumably of the 29 -year -old paragliding practitioner and French nationality, missing since March 30, was this afternoon, April 6, found at Figueira Beach, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, » the maritime authority said in a statement.

It was popular who were in the Praia da Figueira zone that warned the authorities, around 4:30 pm on Sunday, to the presence of a body.

To the scene, elements of the local Lagos Maritime Police Command, the Volunteer Lagos Firefighters and the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila do Bispo.

« The body was collected by the elements of the firefighters for the Sagres Lung Station vessel that was on site, having been transported to the Port of Baleeira, » reads in the same statement.

The death was declared by the Health Delegate and, after the expertise of the Judicial Police, the victim will be transported to the Medical-Legal Office of Portimão.
