Formula 3. Ivan Domingues Confident of evolving in the Sprint Race of the Bahrain Grand Prix
Ivan Domingues performed the 23rd time in the qualification for the Sprint Race of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the second race of the Formula 3 FIA Championship. In a supercompetitive context, with 30 drivers separated by second and a half, the young Leiria pilot was reducing the difference to the fastest. In the end, he said he has a pace to get a better result in tomorrow’s race.
In the debut year in Formula 3, Ivan Domingues continues his process of adaptation and learning in one of today’s most competitive categories.
Van Amersfoort Racing driver has done the 24th time in free practice, where he basically sought Dallara’s best tunings for the Sakhir circuit. « A session with good sensations, where we opted to run with more gasoline and heavier, because the goal was even to accumulate laps on track, » explained Ivan Domingues.
In qualification, the Portuguese won the 23rd time, 1.1 seconds from the fastest, which was the leader of the Rafael Câmara Championship, with 1,49,214 m. « In the afternoon, already in qualification mode, we felt that we could remove a return with more potential, we had no opportunity, but we feel that the pace is here.
