Former technology director of the ORF will be the new foundation council – Diepresse.com
The state of Carinthia has found a successor to Siggi Neuschitzer: Michael Götzhaber will follow him, announced Governor Kaiser.
Because the ORF law changes, the ongoing period of function of the ORF foundation council is ended prematurely, which also results in personnel changes. Former ORF technology director Michael Götzhaber will follow the long-serving board of trustees Siegfried « Siggi » Neuschitzer, who had been sent by the state of Carinthia since 2009. Governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) announced on Tuesday.
He spoke to Neuschitzer, who in this « important function has achieved many positive results for Carinthia, » said Kaiser – he had agreed with him not to extend him as a board of trustees, but to consider « the perspective of the next decade ». That is why the choice had fallen on Götzhaber, who had been a technical director in Vienna for years: « So he brings immense experience and knowledge of the ORF and knows the importance of regionality, » says Kaiser.
Kröll remains on the board of trustees for Tyrol
The Tyrolean state government, on the other hand, continues to rely on Stefan Kröll as an ORF foundation council, as was already known at the end of April. The managing director of a communication agency justified the European media summit on Arlberg.
The constituent meeting of the new Foundation Council period will take place on June 17th. A number of new people will move into the top ORF committee: Already chairman Lothar Lockl and the previous spokesman for the ÖVP « Freundeskreis » Thomas Zach announced their farewell, and the federal government is also looking for six people who will send it to the foundation council. An application deadline for interested parties expired on Monday.
Among the applicants there is economists Leonhard Dobusch, who was previously on the ZDF board of directors and found the momentum institute. Communication scientist Jakob-Moritz Eberl has also submitted an application. (APA)
