Former Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi will be heard at the Kocani Basic Court before a pre -trial judge, Hords confirmed.

Bekteshi was in an informational conversation at a police station yesterday and today about the fire in the nightclub in Kocani. The Bekteshi police station has been conducted and will be heard in BPPO Kocani.

Bekteshi's lawyer said in a statement to the media that the former minister was summoned for an informative conversation and that he had called himself after he was requested to be detained for further checks.

« Tonight's 24 -hour retention time expires, » said lawyer Elenko Milanov, adding that by 14:00 there were no notifications of any proceedings against Bekteshi.

Asked about what circumstances Bektashi was called to the police station, Milanov said there was no legal qualification so far.

– The thing is that there is no legal qualification. He was summoned with an invitation to an informative conversation and was asked after the information conversation was requested for further checks while the ministry checked what and how – said Milanov.

State Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski said in a statement in Kocani that hearings are currently being held on the detention proposals.

– To date, the urgent processing of 14 people provided by our actions to this point is under way. Regarding the inspection I can say that all important relevant facts and evidence at the site are provided and additional analysis and forensics in the appropriate area are followed – he said, adding that this week there is an investigation.

Kocevski did not confirm that the measures also apply to former Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi, the Mayor of Kocani, Ljupco Papazov, as well as municipal inspectors.

« All the person who the team of public prosecutors has found to have, ie they have not undertaken some activities that are subject to a criminal legal aspect will be covered, » he said.
