Former Brooz’s teammate: I have nothing to do with the cocaine smuggling, the money for my debt borrowed a mobster
Radja Nainggolan (36), a Belgian footballer known for his long career in clubs like RomeWho,, Inter And Cagliari, he suffered a serious blow to the end of his sports career. At the beginning of the current season, Belgian police arrested him in Antwerp due to suspicion of involvement in smuggling cocaine.

The news of Nainggolan was shocked by the football public, despite his image, which is far from the exemplary football player. Nainggolan has now told his side of the story on the show at Bar Goers on Belgian television. In the conversation, he revealed that financial difficulties, created after divorce and gambling problems, brought him to a desperate situation. Due to a limited access to his own bank accounts, he requested a loan of 100 thousand euros from Nasr–Eddinea Sekkakiknown in the Belgian underground.
– They brought me to that, and I was cited by the cost after divorce and the debts I had fallen into for gambling – said Nainggolan, who is currently performing for Lokeren–TheaterClub from the Second Belgian League.
Sekkaki gave him money in cash, and Nainggolan repays his debt through bank payments in the amount of between 5 and 20 thousand euros, referring to them as investments in construction projects. Belgian investigators, however, suspected that it was actually about washing money associated with drug smuggling from South America, which included it among 18 people suspected in a major investigation.
After the test, Nainggolan paid the bail and left custody. Although he is no longer formally suspected, he is still under the control of investigative bodies that monitor the development of the case.
