– Forgotten stretch that needs a quick track

The E69 between Olderfjord in Porsanger and Magerøya in Nordkapp municipality was closed 1605 hours the winter season 2023/2024. There is an awful lot, and will therefore have enormous negative consequences for business and travelers to and from Honningsvåg and the other places in the North Cape municipality.

With these figures and in combination with poorer flight offers, it is difficult for the state to hide that they are failing this productive society by facilitating the right infrastructure.

1605 hours are around the rain closed to a full 66 days. 66 24 hours where it is not possible to transport goods and export seafood, 66 days where patients, tourists, private individuals and business lose the predictability and security of traveling on the European road.

66 days are statistics, but closed roads extend throughout the winter period. In addition, there are all the hours where column driving is registered. The statistics say nothing about how often the road is closed due to bad weather, danger of collapse, danger of race, accidents or faults on tunnel gates.

Experience indicates that race, danger of race, bad weather and reported bad weather is what is responsible for most of the closures.

This very vulnerable stretch that covers a society with 3000 inhabitants, one of Norway's most important tourist destinations and one of the largest export municipalities of seafood, is not prioritized in NTP.

This is a forgotten stretch that needs a quick track for improvement outside NTP due to the consequences this entails, including for the Security Center where closed roads can have major negative effects for the entire region.

Finnmark Frp will; ● E69 The Olderfjord-Magerøya section is financed outside NTP as soon as possible.
