For very soon Skopje residents and residents of suburbs will be able to use the « city train », says Mickoski

I expect Skopje residents and residents of suburban neighborhoods around Skopje to be able to use the « City Train » in Skopje, Prime Minister Christian Mickoski said today after inspecting the construction activities of the project construction of a kindergarten in Indzikovo, Gazi Baba municipality.

According to him, it is a quality project of the Ministry of Transport which is a step towards reform in the system.

– It is another step towards reform in the system, reform in every area, unfortunately, much needs to be reformed, in fact, not much, but everything needs to be reformed. The state was not on its knees, but completely sunk and there was no system. Now we solve things on the basis of the priorities and tools we have one by one and one year later the situation is dramatically different compared to a year earlier – said Mickoski.

He says Macedonia did not have any functional cargo locomotiva last year, with more than 1,000 wagons supposed to be delivered in Central Europe to be stuck at a port in Thessaloniki.

– Today we are talking about a city train, the railroad, Corridor 8, Corridor 10, modernization, and a year ago we had no functional cargo locomotive and more than 1,000 carriages waiting to be delivered to Central Europe, unfortunately, were docked at the port of our southern neighbor, Transmitted. Such was the situation, fire extinguishers, because there was no service, there were no Lokomiti, there were no passenger trains, unpaid wages in PE Macedonian Forests, Water Management and so on – the prime minister said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski said last week that he expects the first line of the « City Train » Zelenikovo – Dracevo – Kisela Voda – Aerodrom – Center (New Railway Station) to be operational by the end of the year. It is about, as he said about a large investment of fifty million euros for all three city lines.
