For the Port Authority – a letter to STI

In the opposition hour, council member Andrius Dobranskis asked the mayor about the cooperation of the city and the Port Authority.

« It turned out the fact that the city does not have a contract with the Klaipeda State Seaport Authority for contribution to the development of urban infrastructure, which is also important to the port. It was usually a three -year contract for the amount of EUR 4.5 million. A. Dobranski asked the mayor.

A. Vaitkus assured that the situation was not good.

« It is really strange to me. I had to work in this institution for a number of years. In the 11 questions we raised to the Port Authority, the answer was one – » We are a public limited company, « assured A. Vaitkus.

The mayor noted that the Port Authority did not have to contribute to the infrastructure created by the Directorate itself.

« We also received a negative response to the proposal to the planned road to the Port Authority building. In this case we have applied to the Port Authority and invite them to the meeting.

The Directorate will build a new building for $ 27 million. euros.

The last time the municipality, with the directorate, tried to negotiate the repair of Šilutė highway from Jurininkai Avenue to Smiltelės Street.

« I have no clear, specific response from the Port Authority to this day. I have only heard unconfirmed information that the directorate contributes to the work of the southern bypass. I am very sorry for this format of communication. I think the biggest mistake in the state is that I am very sorry that A. Vaitkus.

He claims that he applied to the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) for the Port Authority.

« The Directorate still refuses to pay what is required to the limited liability company – the property tax. We are ready to go all the way to all the legal forms, receiving the answer to this question, » the mayor concluded, explaining the reasons for applying to the STI.
