For the first time, a Luxemburger wins the ING Night Marathon
There has never been! At the ING Night Marathon, a Luxembourg man won the men for the first time on Saturday. James Dunn, licensed in Scotland, finished 2,29,04 » after 42.195 kilometers. Caleb Trabitzsch (D/2.33’45 ») and Luc Scheller (2,37’38 ») completed the podium.

Edith Stiepel (D/3.12’32 ») was the fastest woman in front of Tatiana Proca (MDA/3.15’01 ») and the Luxembourgian Karin Schank (3.15’54 »).
The Frenchman Benjamin Polish had previously had the half marathon in 1,05,56 ». The German Teresa Frank triumphed for women in 1,21,50 ». Eric Gonderinger (1,16’27 ») and Anne Reiser (1,25’50 ») were the fastest Luxembourg
17,000 runners had registered for the 18th edition. During the day, the weather forecasts worried one or the other participant, but the event was able to take place as planned. The starting signal for the marathon, the half marathon and the Run team was found at the Luxexpo in Kirchberg at 7 p.m., where there was also the goal this year.
Along the route, 500 musicians had the audience, and a total of 1,300 helpers were in action.
