52 asphalt streets or 500,000 square meters of asphalt streets will be repaired in Riga. In another 60 streets or on their sections, it is planned to replace the pavement with a double -surface treatment cover of 77,500 square meters.

The Regiment explained that the municipality is continuing to move towards the goal – to ensure that there are no gravel pavement streets in the capital.

According to LETA, the Riga City Council External Communication Unit, the largest asphalt pavement work is planned for Ganibu Dam, from Petersalas Street to Bridge over Sarkandaugava, Vecāķu Avenue from Emmas Street to Paleja Street, Kārlis Ulmana Gatve section from Liepājas Street to Jaunmoku Street and Biķnieku Street.

Gravel street pavement improvement works are planned in Jugla, Jaunciema, Imanta, Berģi, Dārziņi and other neighborhoods. The street with the largest repair area will be Beberbeķu Street, from K. Ulmana Gatve to Clyguna Street.

The restoration and improvement of the pavement in Riga will last all over the construction season – until late autumn, if the weather is favorable. During the work, possible traffic restrictions, which can significantly affect both the movement of cars and public transport, and the possibilities of micro -mobility tools and pedestrians to move, according to the municipality.
