For PPE and CDI, essential for Albanians to vote for the DP
CDI executive secretary Antonio Lopez spoke at the DP meeting in Kavaja. He has warned Edi Rama’s narcotics that these elections cannot be manipulated, and has called on Albanians inside and outside Albania to massively vote the Democratic Party and Sali Berisha as the next prime minister.

I come from Spain. I came to say goodbye to Edi Rama and tell the Democratic Party hello. Europe is not a passport, Europe is Albania. Edi Rama cannot say who is and who is not European, but the Albanian people must say. I know I was excited. I came here for the first time 20 years ago and find my friend President Sali Berisha, more energetic and younger than ever.
I am very proud of this invitation. My friends who spoke before me, I would like to emphasize that we are here on behalf of many European countries and outside Europe, to deliver the message we want a change in Albania. We will be alert in these elections, these elections cannot be manipulated again. There will be observers who will follow European values, and you are these desires, transparency, democracy and not the rule of a person but the millions of Albanians.
I mean especially today a message of Albanians in the diaspora living in Spain, USA, Germany, is your opportunity to change things in Albania and you can return and for once proud, not for these 12 years but for the future that the Democratic Party will bring to Albania. And I am very proud to stay in the same place, in Kavaja where communism was defeated. You see that I am not as energetic as Sali Berisha. We my friends, have a joint battle, a battle that has been won in the US and in many European countries, against socialism. Remember, how many socialist governments exist in Europe? There are 3 fully socialist governments and do you know how many governments of DP and Sali Berisha are in Europe? There are 14 governments.
Now it is about the DP in Albania, the PPE in Brussels and for them we have to take the lead today. For us in PPE and CDI, it is essential for Albanians on May 11th to change things in this country. I humbly ask you, you as Albanians, please help us in Brussels in Europe, because your vote will be a sign for Brussels. I would like to tell you all of you, standing in front of you today, I proudly want to say ‘Long live the PD’, Long Live Mayor Sali Berisha.
