For house cleaning 300 euros per year are spent (66 just to iron): what are the appliances that impact the most

How much does it cost us to keep our home in order and clean? This question answers an facial investigation, not so much in terms of purchase of products – which is based on personal preferences – as of energy consumption and impact on the bill. The use of appliances and appliances contribute to the Energy expenditure for an average figure of more than 300 euros per year. A figure that emerged from the consideration for the analysis of the consumption of a type family (2,700 kWh per year) and an energy price of 0.29 euros per kWh.

Washing machine and dishwasher

The investigation also identifies a series of appliances to which it is not possible to give up for cleaning your home. In the first place, the washing machine is placed, an object considered indispensable by almost 9 out of 10 Italians. As regards its cost, a 9 kg model in energy class F of the new label, has a cost for each washing cycle of 25 cents of euros; making a laundry every two days, therefore, involves an expense on the electric bill of about 46 euros a year, but, If you use the washing machine every day, the expense easily exceeds 90 euros. In second place, there is the dishwasher, to which one in three Italians cannot say no. Considering a model of 13 covers (class F of the new energy label), consumption is only slightly higher than those of the washing machine: for each cycle we spend about 30 cents of euros, which become 55 euros per year using it on alternate days.

Iron, dryer and vacuum cleaner

In third place of the Italian appliances from the Italians there is the iron, chosen by 28% of the investigation sample. It is one of those with the highest consumption, considering a 2,200 W appliance, with just two hours of use per week, the annual bill reaches approximately 66 euros. The dryer can lead to a higher consumption than the washing machine: consider a 9 kg (class A ++), the expense for each drying cycle is equal to almost 50 cents. Calculator in hand, it means having to budget more than 85 euros per year if we just use it one day yes and one not. Finally, the consumption of a vacuum cleaner can vary considerably depending on the model, but consider one of 900 wattswith two hours of use per week around 14 euros are spent. Be careful, however, because, if we aim to have brilliant floors and, in addition to the vacuum cleaner, we also use a steam broom, then the account rises: with two hours of use per week, you need to add 45 euros a year in the electric bill.
