Requested police inspections

Andrius Žukas, Director of Klaipėda Municipality Administration, responded to their complaint.

« In the light of your request for alcoholic beverages, the time limiting the bar and complaining that alcohol sales at this location is a constant noise, a sense of insecurity, violates public peace and disturb the residents’ right to recreation, and address the police to organize unlawful inspections of the bar.

For noise – 9 complaints

The municipality also requested the police to submit an opinion or proposal for the expediency of the restriction of the time limiting trade in alcoholic beverages.

However, the Division of Administrative Activities, Control and Prevention of the City Municipality Administration was informed about the activities of the bar and was obliged to carry out inspections.

« In the light of the situation, the municipal administration may initiate the preparation of a draft decision on the bar of alcoholic beverages at the time of the Law on Alcohol Control, » said A. Žukas assured.

Such a project would be submitted to the Council.
