Folkfest along the track at the Stockholm Marathon: « Good running weather »
He has made a flag to cheer on the granddaughter Emelie Söderlind Näslund at Slottskajen in central Stockholm.
– She looked very strong, this she comes stuff.
Over 23,000 runners are registered for the race, and the places ended as early as February.
Axel Skorrup Aerås gives the heirloom A hug as he runs by. The goal is to get around for under 4:30. Once in goal, a good dinner is promised.
– He has trained a lot, says Mom.
The race goes through most of the districts in the inner city. Many streets are suspended during the afternoon, but it varies how long the traffic is stopped.
Anette Wiholm Zander fills with a mug sports drink a mile into the race. This is the twelfth time she runs the Stockholm Marathon.
– So far it feels good, she says.
About 3,000 officials work before, during and after the race. In total, over 27,000 liters of sports drinks and 50,000 liters of water have been uploaded.
Outside the opera serves EllenNatalie and Meliz Cola to thirsty runners. They had the roads by and decided to help the official officials.
– If you are not to run, you have to do something, says Ellen.
Finish at Stockholm Stadium for the first male elite runners are expected around 14.10 and for the ladies at 14.30.
The exercisers get longer. They can last for six and a half hours, with the last finish at 18.40.
