Flowers’ seaters – angle – see the world as it is!
On Saturday, April 12, 2025, the Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chisinau became the host of a very special event – the Easter Sitter « Tradition blooms by Flowers ”organized by the Republican Center for Children and Youth « Artico ». The resident occasioned by the celebration of 40 years of activity of the « Iedera » folklore studio was a true tribute to the authentic values of our nation, bringing together lovers of tradition, folk music and old crafts, in an atmosphere warm and full of emotion, reports undalibera.md.
Founded by the Osoianu sisters, artists of the people, the « Iedera » folk studio has succeeded over four decades to grow generations of young folklore, to keep and promote the ancestral traditions and to bring on the scenes in the country and abroad the beauty of the Moldovan customs.
The event started with an emotional prologue, « Flowers of Flowers ”in which all those present were invited to discover traditional crafts – the braid of the willow crowns, the decoration of spring flowers – symbolic gestures that emphasized the rebirth of nature and the hope of the Flower holiday.
Moderate with grace and good cheer by Tatiana Slivca and Victor Pletosu, the seed continued with a real cultural feast. The members of the folklore studio « Iedera », artistic leader Gheorghe Donos, together with Lilia Focșa and Marina Dumbrăveanu, offered the public a memorable show of traditional songs, accompanied with masterful by Alexandru Donos (violin), Gheorghe Donos (na na, whistle) and Marin Ganciu (Cobză).
Among the moments of resistance were the evolutions of the special guests: the beloved popular music performers Maria Iliuț (he worked as a singing teacher within the SF « Iedera ») and the Pateăău diamond, the ethnofolchloric ensemble « Romanița », as well as the talented young people from the popular dance ensemble » They brought on stage fragments from our cultural heritage, transmitted with love and authenticity.
Also, the public had special moments, such as: the workshop dedicated to Easter traditions-egg painting, braiding cozonacs, riddles and stories about Easter habits-activities that have brought together different generations, parents, grandparents and children, in an atmosphere full of soul and tradition. All those present enjoyed traditional sweets, especially sweet cakes, carefully prepared and given as a symbol of hospitality and joy of being together.
The event « Tradition blooms by Flowers ” It was about identity, roots and the power to carry on cultural heritage. The « Iedera » folk studio managed, once again, to gather the community around the values that define us and to prove that tradition is not past, but future.
